NJ Football Coaches
Born and raised in Englewood NJ, Coach Carter attended the University of Virginia from 2006 - 2010 as an inside and outside linebacker for the UVA Cavaliers. In 2011, he had a private workout with the NY Giants and has played 3 years of Arena Football League with the Iowa Barnstormers , Arizona Rattlers , and Jacksonville Sharks. He's been coaching for 6 years now, 1 year in Silver Springs, Maryland at Springbrook HS and 5 years in Englewood at Dwight Morrow HS. He's had had the opportunity to coach on both sides on the ball and specializes in all linebacker positions.
Running Back Coach
Cooper Rego, a New City, New York native, played Running Back for the St. Joseph Regional High School football team from 1993-1997. During his high school career he was named to the Gatorade, Parade and USA Today All American teams and to the Bergen Record All Century Team. Rego went on to play football in college at West Virginia University where he graduated with a degree in Physical Education. After a short stint in the Canadian Football League, Rego began his career as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, running back coach and indoor and outdoor track coach for his alma mater SJR. Rego, a certified yoga instructor combines the techniques, philosophies, and practices of yoga into his teaching to provide his students with an invigorating movement experience for the mind, body, and spirit called football yoga. Football yoga is a part of REGO’S RUNNINGBACK TRAINING CAMP. With the aim of being able to move better with the football.
Wide Receiver Coach
“Coach D" or "Coach Sheed" played collegiately at Grambling State University as a defensive back. While at Grambling he earned Second Team All-SWAC honors and played on the 2005 SWAC championship team for the Tigers. After Grambling, he played briefly in the Arena Football League. The Bronx, NY native starred at Harry S. Truman HS and was named to the All-City team his junior and senior years. Rashid has exstensive experience coaching and training athletes at the collegiate and high school levels, as he coached the Wide Receiver Position at ASA Junior College for six years, and at Don Bosco Prep. He currently coaches at the home of the 2017 state champions, Depaul Catholic High School. Coach Sheed focuses on precise technique and knowledge of the totality of the game in order to get the best of the athlete's ability.
Defensive Back Coach
Coach Walker was a standout at Syracuse University from 1999-2002 and was All Big East Performer in 2001. He was also a 2001 Ted Dailey Award winner for the most improved defensive player in spring practice. Coach Walker tied the SU single-season record for solo tackles by a DB with 70. He set a single-season record for forced fumbles by a DB with 5 ( .42 per game ), and set a SU all Time record with tackles for loss by a DB (12). He played professionally for the Manchester Wolves AF2 and is the current Head Coach at Hoboken High School.
