Baseball Winter Workouts (November – February)
In addition to our comprehensive Catchers' Academy and PS2 Pitching Program, PS2's baseball winter workouts complete the most comprehensive training program in the area. Designed for our Academy teams, these offerings are also available to the general public with specific days dedicated to fielding, hitting and speed/strength activities.
Winter Workouts begin November 2 with the following schedule:Mondays:
- Fielding Workouts
- 6pm 6th Grade and Younger
- 7pm 7th & 8th Grade
- 8pm High School
- Speed/Strength Workouts
- Same Times as Monday
- 2pm 6th Grade and Younger
- 3pm 7th & 8th Grade
- 4pm High School

Junior Crusaders Ages 6-9
Our very popular Junior Crusaders program runs every Saturday morning from 12-1 pm. This clinic is designed for young athletes looking to prepare for travel and club baseball programs. They learn the fundamentals from PS2 Academy coaches. Our low student to coach ratio means your child will get individualized attention in a small group setting $99 per month or $30 daily drop in rate. Friday Night Hitting
Our open hitting nights come with instruction from our PS2 Academy coaching staff. Friday night hitting includes soft toss, front toss, and batting practice. Join us Fridays and choose from two sessions: Session 1 is 6-7 pm and Session 2 is 7-8 pm. Pre-registration 24 hours in advance is required for the $20 rate. 16 Weeks of Comprehensive Training
Saturdays, November 2 – February 29
Noon – 2pm
(No Class November 30 or December 28)
With over 25 years of experience at the catcher's position, Coach Tommy Barbella and his team of instructors cover all aspects of being behind the plate in this comprehensive, 16 week clinic. Players get instruction on different positions, delivering signs, receiving and framing, blocking, pop time, fielding the position, tags and the mental aspects of being a catcher, including how to handle your pitching staff. Our 16-week Pitching Development and Velocity Program runs from November 4th through February 29th to optimize our athletes' off-season training. We offer an extensive 68 session program (up to 4 days per week) to ensure all components are strategically met to benefit the athlete’s efforts and production.
Our Director of Pitching Development, Tom Burns (Pitcher, Sussex County Miners), will manage and individualize every throwing program based on a movement screening by our highly acclaimed, in-house partners from Parabolic Performance & Rehab (Performance Training and Physical Therapy). Dr. Andrew Kelley PT, DPT, CSCS (Parabolic) has performed research into the matter of baseball-specific throwing injuries and has extensively communicated with experts in the field to ultimately design a program with minimal to zero injuries.
There are several imperative phases in this 4-month long program to establish the foundation and gradually continue their growth. Our comprehensive program encompasses:
